Design Wall Monday

OK, OK - no design wall, and this week, the design table was still covered with textbooks, so I had to take my picture of the design floor. I just love this challenge that Judy from Patchwork Times posts each Monday - it makes me FIND THE TIME to sit down and sew over the weekend.

This weekend I pulled some batiks and just started throwing some blocks together. I wanted something cheery to chase away all that rain. It must have worked because the rain is certainly out this morning.

Of course, rainy weekends also means baking -

banana chocolate chip muffins and bread for the kids -

and 1 point cupcakes for mom - the recipe - mix one box of Angel Food cake mix and one large can of crushed pineapple - and bake - spray the pan first ! That's it. Makes anywhere from 24-36 cupcakes depending on how large you like them.

I love your blocks. I agree about finding time to sew in order to post on Design Wall Monday. Just a few minutes a day is all I have right now and I've made quite a bit of progress. The muffins look delicious! I'm going to have to try the mom muffins.

I totally get what your saying about this being a great motivation to get something done. It's working for me most weeks.

Hello dear one! I had no idea you had a blog or that it was listed on MHP. I wish I could reach through the computer and eat one of those muffins! I have been sugar & fruit free (among other things) since Sept. 1 and I really crave those muffins right now.
