I've never tied one either so I'll be interested to see how you like doing it.Martihttp://thenextfiftyyears.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3252451109030769432.post-68199697979805680262009-12-07T12:07:52.529-08:002009-12-07T12:07:52.529-08:00Love this quilt. Sorry I don't know what they're called. You can put the needle down in top of quilt, and come back up real close to where you went in and in one motion. I also use a thimble. (normally I just can't)but going through all those layers really makes the fingers sore. Joanne's has those needles if you don't already have them.Dianehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00575475759307565778noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3252451109030769432.post-89924337650799092502009-12-07T07:34:42.339-08:002009-12-07T07:34:42.339-08:00It's lovely!

Then I made the stitches on all the spots I wanted them from left to right leaving the thread uncut. Then I went back and tied the first knot and cut the thread, pulled the thread along to the length I wanted the second knot, tied it and cut the thread. I just find you have less waste of your yarn this way (instead of cutting a bunch of strips ahead of time). Hope this makes sense! Have fun!Quilter Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16870660916547202929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3252451109030769432.post-20164472119014761712009-12-07T06:21:59.306-08:002009-12-07T06:21:59.306-08:00I love, love love this quilt! I tied a quilt a while ago and used this method, it's lots faster than cutting and knotting each time.Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04448140339937741394noreply@blogger.com
