Break the Cycle

Not much sewing done at all this month - big sigh. My sewing machine is sitting right behind me, almost as if it's wondering when I will get back to it. So much to do, what happens to the time? I have cut back on facebook time - I do play my Mafia Wars - but that takes all about 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes at night. I do run a Walk-It virtual team - but again - 15 minutes in the morning, and 15 at night. Course, then there are the girlies - between the 3 of them - school is 4 hours, but they also expect to be fed, and I'm expected to wash their clothes too ! Amazing. The oldest is really a big help around the house - example - she cooked dinner last night, then I ran her and her sisters to swim practice, from there to her softball game, and by the time we rolled in last night, it was nearly 10 p.m. And then there is Adam. Sadly, I don't think I give him the time he needs/deserves. Yes, he did just have a one on one vacation for 3 weeks with his Dad, b

Yep - I signed up for 2 of them. Of course, that'll mean I MUST start working out more regularly. DH and DS will be home tonight, God Willing, so I'll be back to hitting the gym tomorrow morning. My first 5 K is in June - so not much time. Also thinking of hiring a personal "virtual" trainer. This is really all I need for now, someone to give me workouts to accomplish, and help me fix most of what's wrong with me (doubtful anyone can fix the damage done to my brain over the years) And my return to WW ? Successful so far - first WI - down 1.8 ! Long way to go - but one step at a time (or one stroke...)

Seems like Daddy and Adam went to visit the pyramids today. They always makes friends - I got an email today from a wonderful German couple - they took a few pictures and emailed them to me. Can I say how much I love that little boy of mine. I know he's having the time of his life, but I will be so happy when he gets home !

Signing up for my first 5K. My friend Karen and I are going to attempt it. She is about 1/2 my size - so I need to bump up my training so as not to hold her back. Signed up for the Weight Watchers Walk-It Challenge - free 8 week training program Also buying myself a new heart rate monitor and a pedometer. Those are my Mothers Day gifts to me this year. I looked into that BodyBugg that they wear on Biggest Loser - expesive, and I don't like anything that ends up costing you more each month. So I'm going to purchase this Omron HR-100C Heart Rate Monitor and since I have a code for $10 off a $49 purchase (OMRNAPR9) - I'll add this Omron HJ-112 Digital Premium Pedometer A pedometer that I can throw in my pocketbook or put in my pocket - no more worrying that it'll come unclipped and fall in the toilet ! Donated to the local crew team - and came home with this beautiful Hydrangea - the color is amazing. Did a bit of research - seems like it'll come back year after year - even looked at ways to dry some of the flowers come August - so this years color scheme will be blues ! Also found the perfect birthday present for my dh this year. Of course, this is something we'll both probably use - I can visualize us now - next to the pool with a cooler full of of water and cold fruit - a good book, and a pillow. Life is good - eh? Hoping it gets delivered next Monday - I may even pay the extra $20 to have it put together. Spent yesterday in Phila - took the girls to the Franklin to see Narnia before it leaves town. No pictures were allowed to be taken in the exhibit - but it was pretty cool - got to sit in the Ice Queen's throne - it was really cold ! Felt how heavy the armor was, and saw how they had to sit and have Yak's hair attached to their faces. Can't wait for

The girls will play ! Actually, we've been slacking a bit too much. A quick look around the house shows undone laundry, crumbs on the floor, sticky countertops - definately not "my house". So things need to change - tomorrow. Today we're heading on a field trip - not posting any info in case the girlies read it before we go - it's going to be a great surprise - I'll post pics later. The swim banquet last week was great. 2 of the girls each got best attendance (ummm, shouldn't MOM have gotten that one?) And the other got the overall best swimmer award - so life is good.
